What makes you smile? Who is important to you?

Are you ready to loose those things?

You do not have to loose those things just yet.

We have roughly 8 years left until climate change becomes irreversible. After that, the destruction to our planet and our lives will quickly become very bad.

  • Approximately 3 300 000 000 to 3 600 000 000 people live in situations that make them very vulnerable to the climate change right now.

  • Lack of respect and ignoring these people makes them more vulnerable.

  • Human and ecosystem vulnerability to climate change are linked. An ecosystem is the nature in an area that works together and lives side by side.

  • Humans are part of ecosystems. But we often hurt ecosystems.

But there are barriers to me fighting climate change

  • Tired, unwell, bed-bound- It can sometimes feel like you are helpless when your body and your mind seem to restrict you. That is a really horrible position to be in.

There is plenty that you can do. Honour your body and your mind- do what you can. Rest when you need to and look after yourself.

You could tell people that you know about climate change. Donate money or things to charities. Take notice of nature. Think about whether you like nature or not, why is nature important?

  • Money- Sometime eco-friendly things are expensive. That is true. But, often, you can reuse them several times. This means that overall they cost less than harmful products.

There are lots of different ways that you can help the planet. Some actions are completely free. Do what you can.

  • Do not believe it- You do not have to believe it. You cannot deny that a plastic straw rammed up a turtles nose is bad.

There are many benefits of being sustainable for you. You might as well help.

  • Do not have time- Again, it can sometimes feel like fighting climate change is just another thing to add to everything that you have to do.

There is lots that you can do. Some eco-friendly actions take just a few seconds to make a decision. That one little decision could be between throwing a plastic bottle in the recycling or the landfill. That makes a big difference. A few seconds is all you need.

  • Working in industry- Some companies and industries have a horrendous impact on the earth. But industry can change to do beautiful things. You do not have to give up your job.

You do need to campaign and persuade your managers to change. This can be difficult. But it is so important.

You can also be a model in your work community. You can be the one who always recycles or who rides a bike. You actions will inspire others.
Others might ask you about your actions. Then you can share with them all about climate change. You can encourage them to start their journey to sustainability.

  • Anything that we do will not make a difference- the Intergovernmental Panel for Climate Change has done enormous amounts of research and maths. They state with confidence that various sustainable actions can make a difference and fight climate change.

They also say that individuals have a big role to play. For example, if the people of a country are not willing to use bicycles, the government of the country will not bother to make systems that benefit cyclists. The companies in that country will not try to change their harmful practises. Everything will just stay how it is. The world will continue to die.

Change starts with you, and me and each individual person.

  • Having power, money and things- You might have to make sacrifices in order to be eco-friendly. I am not asking you to sell everything that you own and live in a hole of mud.

I am asking you to choose to care. Choose to make a positive impact that will benefit you and every living thing.

  • Do not know how to be sustainable- Well, that is what this website is for. Let me show you what an amazing impact you can have: Fight climate change

Still no?

I cannot force you to care about the world around you. But I am so sorry that you live in that loneliness.

I really hope that one day you can open yourself to fighting climate change. You are welcome in the fight whenever you are ready.

Please do what you can. You can make a mark- a really positive mark on the earth.
